Ever since the announcement to green light the Watchmen movie we have speculated as to how they could possibly fit every back story and supplemental item into the film. Warner Brothers will be releasing a straight to DVD animated feature tentatively titled Tales of the Black Freighter. If you’ve ever read Watchmen (and you should have) you can now rest assured that one of the back story problems has been solved. The big question is whether or not the studio will print out all of the book excerpts and newspaper articles to read while waiting in line at the theater.
