Sound Off: The Incredible Hulk Movie
June 16, 2008 8:35 am Comics, Movies, Pop CultureThe latest incarnation of The Incredible Hulk took in a little over $54 million domestically this weekend. So, now that the gamma dust has settled, what did you think about it? Was it better than the Ang Lee film? What do the hardcore fans think about the references to the super soldier serum? For me it was kind of middle of the road, but the group I watched it with, whom had little or no background on the big green guy thought it was pretty good. Could it be that this Hulk has better mass appeal?

On a Marvel Movie Scale of 1 to 10, 10 being Iron Man and 1 being Man-Thing, the Showcase crowd gave it a solid 8.5. Not perfect, but damn good.
If they do Captain America the same way they did Blonksy in his big human fight scene, that’ll be the best action movie EVER.

Well, there was 70 minutes cut from the movie that will be on the blu-ray release.
I think it was obvious the very last scene in the bar was originally intended to follow the credits. But I think there was a lot of complains about the final scene after Iron Man since most people missed it.

Iron Man just about sucked. This movie ROCKS! I thought Ed Norton gave a solid performance, the plot moved great(sorta) and the Hulk was done amazingly.
BTW: Did they recruit that Russian actor from a Leprecaun village? He was like 4 feet tall.

I dug it. I thought it was as good as Iron Man, if not better.
Plenty of geek references. A solid mix of action and drama.
I actually just posted a review on my blog. Not my best work, but I liked the film so much I had to talk about it.
