Yep, it’s that time again. We’ve been in sunny San Diego for two nights now and we’ve got plenty of stories to share with you. First, we made it to preview night on Wednesday which we have previously missed every year due to airline SNAFU’s. Wednesday night preview has traditionally been a great time to browse the floor before the crowds took over. Those days are now distant memories. Wednesday night felt like the start of Saturday, which is so crowded I’ll probably spend minimal time there and head out to Coronado for the day.

It’s rare that I wait in line for anything at Comic-Con. Why’s that you say? Well, I’m not the type of person to be star struck and quite frankly I don’t want to waste one or more hours in a line just to get a signature. Today I broke that rule and waited in line for Jeff Smith. I’ve met Jeff Smith before at the ComicsPro 2008 meeting, but I had a copy of his wonderful new children’s book, Little Mouse Gets Ready, and wanted it signed for my daughter. Jeff Smith is one of the most approachable creators in the business and the work that he does in promoting local shops and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, it’s a wonder he has any time left for drawing and writing.

There’s a bunch more from today, but I’m too tired to upload it all. I’ll upload pics in the morning and stay tuned to this page for more updates tomorrow.
