Please forgive me, because this is not a comic book or movie review…it’s a music review. Whaaaat? Are you crazy? No. Well, maybe, but it’s my site and I’ll post whatever I want. However, if you stay tuned you will be rewarded by the awesome sounds of Kirby Krackle.

Kirby Krackle claims to be The World’s First Comic Book Rock Band. Jim Demonakos and Kyle Stevens are couple of guys that love comics and video games and channel their affection through music. Way back in the time of arcades, there was a group by the name of Buckner & Garcia that gave us great songs like Pac-Man Fever, Froggy’s Lament, and Ode to a Centipede. Now we get Kirby Krackle with hits like Naked Wii, Teabagged, and Villain Song. These songs are instant geek classics bouncing from lyrics about video games to comics.

While Jim and Kyle are no Lennon and McCartney their music is catchy and fun. I dare you to listen to these tracks and still be in a bad mood. There’s a widget below that lets you sample their album. If you like what you hear you can purchase a CD (you know, those silver things they make into mp3’s) from their site kirbykracklemusic.com or search them out on iTunes. As an added bonus, if you join their mailing list (the link is on their front page) you will receive a free mp3 of Ring Capacity, a great song about Green Lantern.

Dude, this is the Jonas Brothers. Don’t be ashamed because you listen to the Jonas Brothers. It’s okay.

  • They are pretty good. I actually heard the Ring Capacity song today on the Comic Geek Speak podcast and was planning on looking them up tonight. Its nothing groundbreaking but really fun for the fanboys!

    Adam,
Who are these Jonas Brothers you speak of. Are they good?
