I am sorry to hear of Carl's passing. I used to drive out to Kenner to buy my comics from BSI after Goldmine Comics on Magazine closed down in the mid 1980s. He was an original, and his shop was the first comics store I ever set foot in that was clean,well-lit and easily to manuver in (largely because of his wheelchair). Before that, all I'd ever experienced were glorified rat-holes. I hadn't seen Carl since I moved away in 1992, but I've always remembered him fondly.

I am so sorry to hear about this. I have been out of comics for a while and so just learned his today. Carl was REALLY funny. He would say stuff like "Hey Jimmy, I'll give you a quarter if you let you wife sit on my lap!"

Carl was a great guy and he will be missed.
